Haydarpasa Railway Station

Haydarpasa Railway Station is on the Asian side of Bosphorus. The Neo-Classical castle was build between 1906 and 1908 by the Anatolian Baghdad Corporation and was a gift from Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany to Sultan Abdul Hamit II. The terminal is the start of the Anatolian railway system.

Nice comment. Do you know why the German Kaiser did a gift to the Sultan. Was it an exchange ?
