Mc Donald's
Here is the Mc Donald's in Istiklal Street. The thing about this street is, almost all buildings are old, historical buildings. There are very strict rules about renewing them. It has to look exactly like as looked before. Only indoor changes are allowed. And the more intersting thing is that all the signs has to be the same. For example Mc Donald's can not be written in red and yellow. It must be like in the picture above.

Maybe it the unique MCDonalds written like that!
There is one McD in gran Via, Madrid and it happens the same, it's an historical building too, maybe someday i could post it on the blog :)
I wish all McDonald's looked like this. They always spoil the street they are in. I'd almost venture into this one. :)
It is good they have to toe the line -- reminds me of the one I saw last year in Tallinn, Estonia where ancient and modern meet -- see http://baltic2006.blogspot.com/2006/06/cycle-taxi.html
Welcome to the world of DP
You know, I saw a TV show dedicated to unique McDonald's this past week. Maybe they need to come to this one. The Delta McDonald's is kind of boring :)
What Beaman said.
Hi Oya! Nice blog and I loved Istanbul when we were there in the 1990s! So beautiful and so colourful and definitely worth another visit!!! And hahahahahah to Mc D- bet they weren't too happy about not being able to display the garish red and yellow!
