Shoe Shopping
These are hand- made leather shoes. The shop is in a touristic area. Shop owner said, that the locals are not showing interest in this shoes, but tourists love them. He said, he has been in this business for over 27 years and he did not get rich but it is ok :) Me? I just loved them ! I can't get enough of shoes...

The ones in the middle look like ballet slippers. Not many places left where they make shoes by hand - are they expensive?
Ah, so I know your fetish now ;-) - should I call you Imelda?
Red leather! I like them!
I'm guessing because these are in Turkey that they're not expensive. Such good quality merchandise for so little money there. These are cute! Remind me of Alladin slippers.
I love shoes too. These look so nice, even the ones for men.
If I was there I would buy them too. They look like excellent workmanship.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for your nice comments. Please come again.
i love them, might buy a pair when i come to Istambul.
Red shoes are nearly impossible to resist!!
Excellent craftsmanship. BTW, are these shoes worn by Dervish dancers too?
They look really comfortable!
Hard to find local hand made items in the US any longer.
Irresistible! And very skillful handicrafts too.
Hİ Isabella, thinking of the effort given, nop they are not expensive. They change between USD 70-100.- Imelda? Not quite yet, but will be :)
Dad of Four, no dervish shoes are diffrent. Will try to find and take a photo of them as well.
Hey Oya: you can get a peek at my kitchen and the tiles here!

Love the shoes...and Turkey. I lived there for 4 months as an exchange student and remain very close to my host family there. I am really enjoying your images and missing my family there.
