With no consideration, no pity, no shame, they have built walls around me, thick and high. And now I sit here feeling hopeless. I can’t think of anything else: this fate gnaws my mind— because I had so much to do outside. When they were building the walls, how could I not have noticed! But I never heard the builders, not a sound. Imperceptibly they have closed me off from the outside world.
they've got a wall in china... it's a thousand miles long, to keep out the foreigners they made it strong... And I've got a wall around me... That you can't even see... It took a little time To get next to me
it just came to my mind, "Something so right", by Annie Lennox
Dion M., thank you for the nice poem... Mike, thanks for asking. To be honest, I am not doing well. My baby brother is joining the army for 5 months. I am in my home town to say good bye:( It is a kind of sad ceromony around here. I miss him already...

As metalwork fantastic!
As symbol of way of life… no comment!

C.P. Cavafy poem.

If we put the word bars instead of the word walls, we will have a idea of living behind bars… in psycological manner.
Why are we behind bars? What did we do to deserve it ;-)
Isabella, this poem does n't speak about prisoners but metaphorically about isolated people.
So, I wrote "in psychological manner"
Interesting shot. Kind of mysterious. Hope you are doing well.

What a nice picture!
Brilliant photo!
Hope your brother will have a safe military journey.
Had the picture not been there, I would have wondered what type of bars you were talking about.... :)
Great photo, observation and texture.
