Blue Mosque

Blue Mosque from a different angel...
I will be off to Edirne for the coming few days,
My brother is joining the army for 5 months;
we are taking him to his base.
Please wait for me...
PS: Edirne is a beautiful city at our border to Greece.
There is a lot of historical places remaining from the Ottoman Empire.
I will try to take some photos, promise.

I just love the architecture of mosques. By the way, I already voted for Sophia.

Ι have been in Edirne , and I have visited the fantastic mosque of Sinan!

It was an unforgettable (perhaps the best in my life) ten days journey by car, to Istanbul, Bursa, islands, and Edirne.

...But sorry Oya… I will vote for Acropolis…
If I had a second choice, I would vote for Ayia Sofia.

Dion.M, I will try to go to that Mosque. Selimiye Mosque, but I don't know, if I will have enough time...As far as the voting, that's ok :) It is the best second for you, fair enough.

Very nice photograph. Architecture is one of my weaknesses.

Hi Oya!
Blue Mosque with a blue sky!

I've heard about your brother, I wonder if that is obligatory... here in Spain, only those who want to join the army go there (that happens for a few years ago, before that every male had to join the army). I think that's not fair to be obligated to do something you don't want to.
I hope everything goes fine with you and your little bro!
See you soon!

Don't worry, never tired with La Mosquée Bleue! I hope these coming months will not be too difficult for your brother, is he very young? In France, there is no more national service for young people, all the army is composed with professional militaries. I'm happy for my son who is almost 16.

best wishes to your brother and a wonderful pic of a beautiful mosque!

Love that architecture!

And the 5 months will fly by...

Dsole, thanks. It is an obligation for every man here. If you are college graduate, you go for 5-6 months, if not, 12 months. :(

Alice, he is 26. Lucky you and your son.

Kala and Isabella, thank you very much.
