Street Food for Street Dogs

I saw this breads and water at a park, downtown.
Thinking about my Ollie's expensive food, all kind of treats , dog biscuits....
I felt bad and I thought, poor dogies....
But, then there is also a big bowl of water for them.
I think, whoever puts those breads and water there for the dogies, he/she is trying to take care of them the best way he/she can.
But it still breaks my heart, that there are so many animals out there, needs our help and not a lot of people are aware of or care about that.
Obviously this person cares...

I saw yesterday in Vannes a young homeless sat on the street beside his dog which was eating some French fries someone lost on the ground. When you see all the boxes on the shelves in supermarket, all the dogs don't have the same menu...

Oso also gets expensive food (he has addison's disease and I feel he needs a more balanced diet with less added stuff I can't pronounce) but he would love to eat all this bread for himself. A few weeks ago I put some old stale bread out for the birds and when my back was turned he ate it all up. Can't really blame him, I'm quite fond of bread myself.

In the winter we put out chicken scraps for the stray cats and leave the garage door open so they have shelter. We do what we can.

I'm glad someone cares enough, too.
And the water is important - we should do all that we can.

In NYC, those bread would be eaten immediately by pigeons or rats.

Ollie is very lucky to have you.

I am feeding dogs and cats with my own meal for most of the time. Maybe that's the reason why I never finish my meal ;)

Nutritional or not, it's good to know that someone cares...

Poor doggies, I can´t stand the thought of they being so helpless out there in the streets. Yes it´s a very good thing to know someone cares. Same kind of thing happens here.

I´ve been willing to tell you how I love your pictures. I usually come here once a week and take a look at the latest posts... I´m always so happy with what I see. Some of them are poetic, some are exotic, and the food photos are always yummy!
You do a great job at Istambul daily photo!

Sometimes it's said that the English care more for their dogs than their children. I'm always sadened seeing the plight of stray dogs abroad.
