I really thought these were used slippers or that they belonged to people who are in some house.

In Japan, shoes lined up like this, on a house step, usually meant the owners were indoors visiting a lady of the night.

I have some good news:

The three baby robins are on their way to Meet the World. I miss them already. It was quite an emotional experience.
