Oh, I forgot to say, we have a green rip mussel in NZ. It is slightly lager than black/blue rip variation, I think. It is really tasty, though. I usually just wash and put them in a pan with little bit of white wine and garlic/spring onion. It will steamed open and best match with local while wine (Nelson/Marlborough).
