After the haunting scenes of Turkey's monuments, guardians, as it were, of a very rich past, you go around the block, look up and... voila! A sobering shades ad! Haha. For me its a challenge to awaken one's sensibilities, and have a firm stance about what are the things (no matter how small) that could help people around us to learn about their culture.

2 aydir New York' ta bir Amerikali ailenin yaninda yasiyorum. Camel Sigaralarinda Turkish blend ile deve resmi gorunce Turkiye de deve oldugunu dusunuyorlarmis. Bugun Times Square meydanindaki 'Virgin' markete gidip Amerikali aileye bir Turkiye kitabi almak istedim ama Dunyaca unlu Lonely Planet serisinde Istanbul ve Turkey kitapciklarini gorunce ben bile geri donmek istemedim. Hamam tasinda yatan gobekli cirkin hamam tellaklarinin resmini koymuslar kapaga ve deve guresinden bahsetmisler. Turizm Bakanimizdan bize ve guzide ulkemize bir hayir yok. Resimlerine bayildim. Bir kere daha Istanbul'da yasadigim icin kendimi sansli hissettim. Katkilarin icin tesekkur ederim. Semra
