We have similar sandals in Bosnia. We even have a very famous song about a woman wearing these. I have a pair only red. They are lovely and actually very comfortable, although noisy when you walk. Hope you are feeling better.

We have wooden clogs in Malaysia too...They come in red colour traditionally. The creative community now paint flower etc motifs on them now!
