Colors

This is how the young women dresses in Anatolia. Nowadays only in the weddings, but in the past, this was how they looked like all the time. Full of color. Took this photo in Sultan Ahmet; the area where the Blue Mosque and the Hagia Sophia is. Picture was for sale at a very reasonable price.

You said it - very colorful! And evocative of Ottoman Empire, where this dress would be worn by Sultan's daughter...

One of my biggest regrets is not buying a beautiful painting that was large and just around $300 in a Turkish gallery. When we went back the next day to buy it, it was gone. This is a beautiful picture!

The colours are somewhat pastel but cheerful. And the face seems to stand out in the picture!

Even though it's a myriad of colours, it doesn't overshadow the engelic face of the girl...Really nice picture!

I think the painter did a great job, she look demure in those special costume. I can imagine the weight of all those fabric!
