Door Open
You never get bored in Istanbul
This colored door opens in every 5 or 10 minutes. A little man comes out with a trey in is hand,
serves everybody tea, who sits outside this door, on little tables and then in the next 5 or 10 minutes, he comes back, collect all the glasses and his money and disappears again
And it goes on and on and on all day....

Nice post, Oya!

Nice tell and colourfully photo. BTW I loved so much that photo published on 2nd of March about the man with weight. Thank you oya.
Are you sure he's serving just your ordinary tea ;-)
Very unique door and color scheme. It sounds like a interesting way to serve tea.
interesting! would love to see him in action one day
I agree with Kris!
Very colourful photo and story. More people should visit Istanbul, there is so much to see and do. To us Australians, so different. On leaving Istanbul, one asks oneself why more time wasn't spent there. A city of hidden surprises, everywhere, (and Trams !!!!)
superbe cette porte, vraiment tres originale.
superb this door, really very original.
I love colorful doors-great photo!!!
Fantastic! You could show us a pic of when the door is open and the man comes out!
Dsole, yes it is real. Actually, it is a very common thing here...
Isabella, yes:) , he is serving tea, and only tea...If you ask for water or coffee, there is none ! Funny ha?
Monica, I will try to take some more pics, when it gets a little bit warmer.
I would love to visit this place.:)
So is that what the signs say? Sit here, I bring tea...You pay :)
Fantastic colours which add brilliance to the otherwise boring wall. Nice shot.
It sounds like something out of Alice in Wonderland! I like the vibrant colors.
Bill, the yellow means tea joint, the white means open...:)
