Pickels

Posted by Picasa
Can you imagine a shop selling pickels only..... There is lots of in Istanbul. These are homemade. Very colorful. This shop is very close to the Flower Passage in Beyoglu. They let you taste it and decide wheter you buy it or not. But as you can imagine, it is almost impossible not to....

You find such shops in India too, but many of them keep snacks called farsan like dhokla, khandvi, samosa, etc. and wafers too.

Thanks for the comments on my site, Oya. Isn't it great to see countries all over the world through a local's eyes? It's always so different to what we imagined.
